Surreal & Awesome: Fruit Salad makes me smile!

Surreal, one of the greatest words I know and love. Love surrealism; especially paintings, but it’s not paintings I am on about. I am on about the moments in your life that happen in the strangest way and you accept them just because you do; you pretty much have no answer to why these things happen and you just accept them. It’s fucking bizarre! Is it the natural order of things that begin in a cycle and eventually once they have gone full circle, something happens that people just think – “damn why do I do that, that person is a nice guy”; okay I’m trying to get into someone’s head here – but they look at you, talk to another friend, look at you again and notice you don’t care if they are trying not to talk to you. Damn it, I’m rambling. But anyway eventually they give in and push themselves to say what you do not expect. You’re not bothered if they don’t speak to you, but when they make the effort, you listen and then the words you have been waiting to hear pop out of their mouth; I’m sorry! Shocked much? Absofuckinlutely! Okay I’m stealing quotes from Sex & the City, but it’s an amazing word. However this has been a surreal moment for me – one person speaks to me and is all nice, which I never thought would happen and then another who I thought hated me comes up to me and apologizes to me for some shit that happened months ago; this is a feel good moment, though I do feel as if my karma is balancing itself out. Couple of days before my surreal event, one guy insults me and then another guy ignores me. It’s almost like the powers that be are saying “Shit, this guy is getting it hard, let’s give him some space and make him see that life ain’t shit after all” – it’s like these two sets of guys have treated me in the same way, that karma is just repositioning itself into a natural order. I believe in the natural order of things and however surreal a situation is, I believe that someone or something is leading me to understand the ways in which I should accept what is and what will be, otherwise I’m just fucked for life!

So surreal and awesome is my title for this rant and you might be wondering what is awesome about it? Well awesome would be the people you meet who you have a lot in common with – in life, in friends, in relationship problems and the best one that surrounds a lot of my friends: sexuality. Sexuality is always seen as a major thing in society. If you’re straight that is the correct manner to be. If you’re bi, then you’re just a fucking greedy bastard. If you’re gay, it’s totally wrong. This categorization pissed me off. This is a new era and this is what is true – if you’re straight, that’s fine – man meets woman, man falls in love, they get married have kids and never have sex unless it’s planned in advance. If you’re bi, you’re not greedy; you are just have problems with your sexuality and are confused about what you really want out of life. Today’s society makes the choices you make harder than you want them to be, but it’s about being happy and if you’re happy then you’re just fine. If you’re gay, then in the eyes of the some people it’s wrong – but I believe gay people rule the world; we are an army, there are so many of us now, that it is becoming a popular trend to be gay. It’s strange as when I was 20 (when I knew I was gay); I would never have been able to come out. The world has changed a lot since then and it has become easier to come out; it is more accepted now, than it ever was. Okay rambled on a bit there about sexuality, when I was supposed to be talking about the people I met. Well, two people I met and both bisexual and still uncertain about what they want. I think its good thing to still be uncertain as you are open about your sexuality as also that makes your life interesting and never boring! *Laughs to self* So in a long time I have had a surreal but awesome night and that makes it all good and gets me smiling, which is always good!
